More Voter I.D. Laws

Tommorrow, the case of elderly voter Valerie Williams will be brought befor the Supreme Court. Ms. William's case is simply this : When she went down to the polling station of her retirement home last November to vote, she was denied. Ms. Williams was told that her usual forms of voting I.D. , a telephone bill, social security letter, and an expired Indiana driver's license, were no longer acceptable to vote. This was due to a recent voter Identification Law that I personally wrote about earlier this year. (fell free to look it u in the archives, it's a good read) This incident illustrates why the recent Indiana law that tightens the security on votes by requiring a current state issued I.D. is considered so controversial. Many people, mostly Democrats, call this law unconstitutional. Whereas many others, mostly Republicans, call this law an important step towrds securing voter fraud. The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear this case tomorrow and hopefully, they will put an end to this problem once and for all.
