Woman Admits Hitting Her Children On Flight Tamera Freeman: 'I Behaved Badly'

Denver- An airline passenger was accused and pleaded guilty for continually hitting her children and threatening a flight attendant. Tamera Jo Freeman, age 40, told the judge that the flight crew was unfair and added that she was wrong for her actions. Other passengers said that Tamera hit her two children, a 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son, on their knees, legs, and shoulders. Her children have been placed in the custody of other family members in California. Since she was willing to cooperate, the federal prosecutors agreed to drop two counts of the assault. At her sentence hearing in January 18, Tamera could be sentenced to 4 to 10 months of home detention.
Years ago, hitting children was a disciplinary act that teaches them right from wrong. Today, our society punishes parents for excessively taking advantage of this action. Some parents do abuse this act as a way to deal with their anger. Tamera Freeman is one of the many parents who physically abuse her children out of anger and receives punishment.
