Red Sox the New Yankees?

Red Sox 2007 champs win another World Series. The Red Sox won two World Series in the past four years. Red Sox have been called the "new Yankees", but fans are not proud of being called that. “Don’t call us the new Yankees,” said John Dean, 36, of Boston. Most Red Sox fans hate the Yankees after all they are rivals. Ben Affleck said, “The team still has a real underdog, motley, likable gang feel,”. “To me that’s what the Red Sox were about as a kid, and what they’re about now, and they actually happen to win.” The Red Sox are not the only Boston team that has been winning. The New England Patriots are undefeated, and Boston College’s football team is Number 2 in the country.







In 1918 the Red Sox won its fifth World Series then they went on a "dry spell". Durning that "dry spell" the NY Yankees won 26 World Series. During that time teh Red Sox and the Yankees became rivals. Both the teams fans became the roudest fans in all of baseball.
